Logan grew up in Decatur Georgia and moved several times around the country with company moves and ended up back in Atlanta in 1989.

Graduating from East Tennessee State University with a BS in Engineering Technology in 1981 Logan moved to Rochester, New York with Eastman Kodak as a Marketing Education Specialist.  Then he went to St. Louis, Missouri to begin a career in medical sales and back to Atlanta in sales management playing guitar all along the way in different venues.

Logan started playing guitar at the age of 12.  Being self taught he played in several rock and roll garage bands, some bluegrass and folk groups, as well as playing in several church settings.  One of his high points in high school was being asked to play in the school jazz band.  Cool music but what weird chords.

His recent church asked for volunteer guitar players for the gospel jazz band and he applied. This is when he began taking guitar seriously. Logan began studying jazz guitar under the direction of Mr. Bob Shaw in Atlanta and at that point and fell in love with big band music joining the Atlanta Swing Orchestra in 2003.

“It is a pleasure and a privilege to play with such a talented group as the Atlanta Swing Orchestra”.
